Christmas comes twice this year

Since we are heading to Hawaii to spend Christmas with Dane's family, we got together with my side tonight and had our own little christmas celebration and opened our presents. Dane and I had wrapped all of the presents last night and put them under the tree. This morning brayden noticed those new gifts and wanted to open them right away. He was a good little patient boy and waited till tonight to open them all. When the time came, he went nuts.

Brayden loved all his gifts but especially liked one of Jo's gifts we got him as a joke. I don't know if you remember these old school balloon blowers. We found this at the store and Dane wanted to buy it for Jo. My dad said that they use to have these when he was a kid too. So Jo would blow up bubbles for bray and he loved it.

Bray even helped Ani open her gifts. Ani just watched with a wide-eye wonder at everything going on.

(Also, if you can read what this shirt says...I did not buy it. Everyone always asks me that question.)

So if you know Dane he likes to buy gifts that he thinks are funny. So Amanda LOVES winnie the pooh and Dane wanted to buy one we found at Costco for her. This lady was digging into the bin looking for the complete set and when she would find an extra, she would give it us. Dane didn't want to put it back in because everyone wanted them. So we bought them and gave each person in family one. For some reason my mom thought hers was pretty funny. =)

But we really bought them so brayden could enjoy them at Papa's house. He loved them and knew which one belonged to which person.

Brayden is finally at that age where he understands what 'presents' really contain. He is even understanding who Santa is. So it makes it a lot more fun for us!
