last november we put together a coed indoor soccer team made up of family and friends. we thought it would be fun to play together and it would be great exercise. most of us have never played soccer before and so we are in the very bottom league but with everyone's natural athleticism :) & some help of more veteran players we had only one loss going into our seventh game. we played the number one team this past saturday. if we beat them we would be tied for first. they were the only team undefeated. with every goal we made, a certain guy on the other team got more aggressive physically and vocally towards our girls. he wasn't handling losing very well. the ref & scorekeepers kept ignoring us when we complained about it so our fans were pretty loud and understandably upset. it took him pushing, calling a girl on our team a derogatory name, and spitting in the face of one of our fans to finally get the game called and the player kicked out for life (he actually just came off a year suspension for punching someone in the game. so this wasn't his first offense). let's just say there was a lot of anger & yelling & trying to prevent a fight. our team and fans were kicked out of the game and i guess seven police officers showed up to make sure we were gone. we weren't even the bad guys in this but apparently we look scarier. the manager claims that they always kick out the home team. it's just something they do every time. hmmm....
so, we are waiting to hear the outcome. we're hoping they don't give us a forfeit also but we'll see. my son now goes around saying he is going to punch so and so in the face. not good. we had to sit him down and talk to him about that. who knew the lowest level of soccer could be so exciting? or maybe the word i'm looking for is physical?
after soccer we went to burger surpreme to rehash the whole thing and complain about the unfairness of it all...here are the pics.

Wow, that's crazy. Will you guys still be able to play. What an awful person that guy is. To spit at someone just because you're losing a game?
