where has this summer gone?

this summer is going by way too fast for me. next thing you know, it will start to get cold and then snow. not looking forward to it. seems like we have been trying to cram some things in before the summer ends and we are only home so the kids can nap. the kids have been taking some great naps too. i've been able to read a lot of books. probably driving dane a little nuts with that. i have neglected my wifey duties, so this week i'm really trying to balance it a little more.

last week we went to seven peaks with some girls in my neighborhood. took brayden down a BIG slide for the first time and he loved it. he now thinks that ani ruins all the fun because we can't just leave her and go down the fun slides. bray also went fishing with papa again. they successfully caught fish and bray came home happy to show them to us.

thursday we went with my family to lagoon. ani got to ride the carousel and train. bray rode every single ride he could. his favorites were the train and the dragon rollercoaster. wish we would have got video of him on the rollercoaster ride because he had his arms high above his head and he was yelling woohoo. it was pretty funny. bray thought it was pretty cool that he could swim at lagoon-a-beach and ride rides all at the same place. he was so excited, he wouldn't eat. he just wanted to go, go, go. the only adult ride we got on was the new one called wicked. that one is pretty fun. definitely the best ride there. dane said if he knew what that ride actually did, he wouldn't have gone on it. if you ever make it to lagoon, go on wicked. it's a great one!

on saturday we had dorie's homecoming luncheon and jasmine's 1st birthday party. i don't have pictures from either one but they both had great food and we had a lot of fun. jasmine had such a fun birthday party. sunny did a great job! i know our kids had a lot of fun.

the most exciting thing coming up for our family is bray gets to start school next week. he has his open house next tuesday and his first day is next thursday. it is all he talks about. i hope he likes it.

and...we want to wish alihi a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! technically alihi i started the blog before midnight. so it was your birthday when we started this. hope you had a great day. and...happy birthday to little jasmine girl. you beautiful, adorable girl. hope this first birthday is super.
