July 4th Celebration

hope everyone had a happy 4th. we had a different 4th of july this year. we kind of just did different things than we usually do. everyone seemed pretty busy this year and we were undecided for most of the day. we first had lunch at happy sumo.

we went to cabela's in search of a bike trailer. we've been looking around for one so we can go on bike rides with the kids. my dad said they had a great deal on one. i guess everyone heard about the deal because they were all sold out! junk.

then we went to boondocks for the very first time and had a great time. the weather was, for the most part of the day, overcast. made it so much more enjoyable.

...and i received my first black-eye from my lovely brother. (don't play catch with him). i didn't even get a black-eye when i broke my nose in high school. (remember that melissa?) i guess it could have been worse. i could have two black eyes. dane does get some curious looks when we go out. ha.

Don't catch the ball with your eye next time.

Your poor eye! You need to come up with a really great story of how it happened!
