Happy New Year!

new years eve day was spent making tons of lau lau. we woke up and made some with the family. then ani and i went to kapolei to help my grandma them make over 300.

we came back to have dinner with everyone and pop fireworks... either the economy isn't so bad or people here save their money for the important things like... illegal fireworks. it was noisy as ever and the kids loved it all. we lost power off and on between 10 pm and midnight. britt put glow bracelets on the kid's wrist because we had a hard time keeping track of them. they kept wanting to play with more than just poppers and sparklers.

in the afternoon we went to kapolei to eat some more. i got teased that my lau lau looks more like big potatoes but i swear those were jonny's. we'll see if come help again. :)
