Halloween 2008

this Halloween was so much warmer than it has been in the past years. i can't remember the last time we didn't have to bundle up to go trick or treating. it was wonderful. it did drizzle a little but they kept going.

we get tons of kids coming to our house every year. our first year bray & i spent in hawaii and dane here alone. he told us only three kids came. the next year he told me i bought too much candy and kept handing handfuls out which resulted in us scrambling around for more. we had over a hundred kids come that year.

bray & ani kept begging dane to take them. they didn't want to wait for anyone. so he just went down the street until people came. amanda & jo came over, followed by my parents, then the owans, and the tanakas. bray wasn't with us because he had found his friend kai earlier that night and was going around with them.

for the longest time ani wanted to be a tiger for halloween. dane kept saying no. she just kept on telling him she wanted to be a tiger. while aunty janice was visiting us, she suggested to ani that she should be a princess. i don't think she really knew what that was. maybe she liked the word. so she started to say she wanted to be a princess. so daddy tells her she can be a tiger now. well, she doesn't want to be a tiger anymore, she wants to be a princess! so we went through ebay and she liked the costumes with tutus. we found the cowgirl one and daddy gave us the ok. a week before halloween we watched aladdin for the first time and she doesn't like her costume anymore. she wants to be a princess jasmine. too late, too bad, so sad. i kept calling her costume her "princess" costume and she agreed to wear it. ugh, bray never gave me this much trouble. next year daddy and ani can go costume shopping together and argue it out. i still think she looked pretty cute this year.

bray was ironman and ani was a cowgirl/princess...:)

Cute costumes! Now that the kids are getting older they probably have a blast trick or treatin'!

Bray is such a great superhero! A transformer one year, and Ironman the other. ;)
Ani is so cute, love the combo of cowgirl/princess.
