I'm wet!

i started potty training ani today. we let her try on her panties last night to get her excited and she peed on the couch. thankfully it is leather and easy to clean.

this morning was going well until we had to pick up bray from preschool.

accident #1- i thought i could run really quickly and mail a box for my cousin. as we walked in the line was pretty long but moved semi quickly. i have the timer on my watch going off every thirty minutes and it started to beep on the way home. two seconds later ani is saying... I'm wet mommy!

the rest of the afternoon went well. she was even dry after her nap. an hour after her nap my watch is beeping again and i'm trying to convince her it is time to sit on the toilet. she hid in the laundry room and came out with a smile. accident #2.

accident #3 was while i was on the phone with my mom. i was trying to convince ani again that she needed to sit on the toilet. she was anti toilet for a couple of hours. accident #4 happened during dinner and on the chair with her brother. he was pretty disgusted. luckily, chairs are easy to clean! after her little phase of toilet phobia, she wanted to sit on the toilet every five minutes. that was fun for two hours. although i have to say we didn't have any accidents. right now she is in a pull-up and sleeping in her crib. thank goodness day one is over.

i am grateful so far that with all of our carpet, she hasn't had an accident on it. wiping linoleum/wood floors and chairs is way more fun than scrubbing carpet. bray seemed to always get the carpet. another plus is that she has been pretty good at going #2 on the toilet for awhile now. we just need to work on #1.

hopefully day two goes a little better...
