Backpacking in the Uinta's

Dane got the pictures from his backpacking trip and wanted me to post them.

The day they left was my brother's birthday. They sang him happy birthday and put a candle on a package of oreo's.

Dane said the hike was difficult. It was only 3 miles but it was straight up and it took them over four hours to reach the lake. It was called round lake and they set up camp there. It was four of them. Aron and Alan Singh, my brother Jordan, and Dane.

The following day they hiked up to another lake called Sand Lake where they fished, took a bath, and did some swimming. He said they saw people up there. After talking to one boy scout group, they found out that they had mules pack in their stuff. Another group rode horses to bring in their stuff. No wonder it was so hard with their packs!

They grilled the fish they caught with lemon juice, garlic salt, and pepper. Dane said it was really good. They also brought freeze dried food to eat too. He liked those too. They stayed two nights and had a blast. Probably one of those things he never thought of doing but glad he did. At the end, they were burning clothes and other things they didn't want to pack back out. He said it took them half the time to hike out.

I think he loved it and would do it again!
